AMA Doctor Finder (American Medical Association)

Enables you to search the United States for a doctor by name or by specialty. Provides information about virtually every licensed physician in the United States and its possessions, including more than 690,000 doctors of medicine (MD) and doctors of osteopathy or osteopathic medicine (DO).

American Board of Medical Specialties: Board Certification Verification

Check to see if your physician is board certified. The American Board of Specialties (ABMS), a not-for-profit organization comprising 24 medical specialty boards, is the pre-eminent entity overseeing physician certification in the United States. Board certification information is searchable by name of physician for all physicians certified by one of the member boards of ABMS. Registration is required, but free.

Louisiana Medicaid CommunityCARE Providers

In Louisiana, most low-income families with children, disabled adults and childre who are Medicaid recipients are required to participate in CommunityCARE. It is a comprehensive health delivery system, which links Medicaid recipients to a Primary Care Physician (PCP). The PCP manages the care of each CommunityCARE enrollee by providing health education, preventive care, and acute care and refers the enrollee to specialists when needed.

Medicare Participating Physician Directory (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services)
